But new questions have been raised about Obama’s student loans and Obama’s ties to a radical Muslim activist who reportedly was raising money for Obama’s Harvard studies during the years 1988 to 1991. The allegations first surfaced in late March, when former Manhattan Borough president Percy Sutton told a New York cable channel that a former business partner who was “raising money” for Obama had approached him in 1988 to help Obama get into Harvard Law School. In the interview, Sutton says he first heard of Obama about twenty years ago from Khalid Al-Mansour, a Black Muslim and Black Nationalist who was a “mentor” to the founders of the Black Panther party at the time the party was founded in the early 1960s.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Reuters) - An Alaska ethics inquiry found that Gov. Sarah Palin, the U.S. Republican vice presidential candidate, abused the power of her office by dismissing the state's public safety commissioner, a report released on Friday said. The investigation centered on whether the firing of Walt Monegan, the state's public safety commissioner, was linked to Palin's personal feud with a state trooper, Michael Wooten, who was involved in a contentious divorce with the governor's sister. The report, written by Steve Branchflower, a retired state prosecutor hired by lawmakers to conduct the inquiry, said Monegan's refusal to fire Wooten was not the sole reason he was dismissed but was likely a contributing factor. Palin allowed her husband, Todd Palin, to use the governor's office and resources to continue to contact state employees to find some way to get Wooten fired, according to the report. WKZL 107.5 FM has suspended Jack Murphy, the station's morning talk-show host, and the staff of his show, Murphy in the Morning.
"It has come to our attention that the Murphy in the Morning show MAY have engaged in an illegal phone call during their show today," according to a statement posted on the station's Web site Thursday by Bruce Wheeler, the vice president and general manager of Dick Broadcasting.
"These allegations are being taken very seriously and we are launching an internal investigation into the matter.
