Matt Cutts joined Google as a Software Engineer in January 2000. Since then he has been known for his outspoken blog, his attempts to tackle unhealthy link spam. He has a lot of article on his blog related to IT and software engineering. And some good tips he can offer on keeping a tidy inbox for those who like him receive hundreds of emails every day.

First of all he advises to have some email managing tools at hand. Other things are in control of anyone with a little time and patience. You have to proclaim and filter ruthlessly e-mails that appear as spam and always report them. Also go through your contact lists and see if some of the contacts should also go to the trash folder. Delete emails you don’t need to reply to. Try not to check you e-mail too often. Chances are the more mail you get the more ruthless and organized you will be in deciding what’s in and what’s out. Check your e-mail once a day unless you are waiting for an important one. Try and make sure your mail client always shows you threads on the same topic. You can mark them by color-coding or other ways available. Matt Cutts knows what he’s talking about.

Matt Cutts is a well-known SEO specialist working for Google. Previously he had been working on his PhD in computer graphics which he never attained because he joined the Google team as software engineer in 2000. He holds an M.S. and B.S. in mathematics and computer science and he is probably one of the most famous bloggers on subjects of SEO. In his blog he advisers webmasters and other interested people on all things related to SEO and Google in particular.

His resume states big achievements on the job market as well. He worked at the Department of Defence while at college and showed his creative side at a game engine company. At Google he wrote Google’s family filter, campaigned for the Google Webmaster Guidelines and against link spam. He is also known for combating unwanted porn in Google by presenting servers reporting it with his wife’s homemade cookies.

An important development of Matt Cutt’s interviews and blogs was the line that was drawn between true SEO and outright spam. He whole-heartedly embraces the former and passionately rejects the latter. He defines spam as techniques using hidden text, hidden links, doorway pages, etc. He is also among the few first specialists to be working in the field of battling it. Hopefully he is successful.

Matt Cutts was a student doing his BA and MA at the University of Kentucky before he became Google’s most outspoken blogger and major specialist in the quality department. At the university he studied computer graphics and movement tracking, as well as information retrieval and search engines Then he went on to do his PhD at the University of North Carolina which he never finished but became known in the world of internet instead.
